Silicon Power’s New Line Of USB Flash Drives

Silicon Power today announced a new line of USB flash drives called the Helios 101. Coming in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities, these plug and play drives feature a polished aluminum casing, a USB 2.0/1.1 interface and are compatible with both Mac and PC systems. The Helios 101 will become available in the coming weeks in two color options: apple green and ocean blue. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet.

Did you know that some pseudo-scientists pinpointed January 18 as this year’s most depressing day? As we gaze out from the Engadget mansions at the leafless trees and listless mood outside, we can’t help but agree that January’s a bit of a downer. So to pep yourself up geeky style, why not grab an all-new Tengu Black? It seems a faithful reproduction (i.e. identical but for the color) of the white Tengu, a USB plug-in device that listens to your music and tries to lip sync to it with its LED array contorting into “over 14 different facial expressions.” Let’s face it, with the Robot Apocalypse all but assured, we should be practicing our love of inanimate objects as much as possible. The DACport USB headphone amplifier from CEntrance is a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter, which promises to bring increased music fidelity to your computer and more volume. The device combines an amplifier with the company’s AdaptiWave USB technology and JutterGuard clock-management system. For connecting headphones, the amplifier provides a 1/4-inch output and an adapter for 1/8-inch plugs. Meanwhile, the DACport draws its power from USB port. Other specs include analog volume controls and plug-and-play functionality with most laptops or music servers. You can order the DACport directly from the company’s website for $500 a pop. Each purchase comes with a belt clip, six-foot USB cable and velvet carrying pouch.

ATI Radeon HD 5450 And 5570

AMD has confirmed it plans to launch ATI Radeon HD 5400 and HD 5500-series products before the middle of February 2010, as part of its aim to offer outstanding graphics with Microsoft DirectX 11 technology support for mainstream markets. The HD 5450 is aiming to replace the previous generation ATI HD 4650/4550/4350 graphics cards while the HD 5570 will target the mid-range market. Sadly, there is no info on pricing at this time. Cowon has recently posted a teaser page for their upcoming mobile internet device called the W2. Based on the informations we got, the device will feature a brushed metal design, a 1.33GHz Intel Atom CPU, a 4.8-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, WiFi, Bluetooth, multiple USB ports, an ethernet port and run on Windows 7 OS. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet. Stay tuned for more updates.

Measuring just a quarter of an inch thick, this thin device boasts a large 11.5-inch 1200 x 1600 ‘Metal Foil’ touchscreen display, a 4GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a miniUSB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi and supports 3G connectivity via Sprint operator.
