Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W290 Camera

The W290 has a 12.1MP sensor, but that day is far from uncommon, and Sony is very competitive in a crowded market. It also has a 5x zoom Carl Zeiss lens with a wide angle end equivalent to 28mm, which is also an increasingly common feature.
The W290 in the £ 200 price point does not look too expensive in comparison.
Like all compacts in the Sony W290 is a good looking camera, and is solidly constructed. He has a strong aluminum body and is available in black, blue or silver. The W290 is not particularly small and light cameras for advanced ultra-compact standards. It weighs 164g including substantial battery and memory card, a 97.6 x 56.6 x 22.6mm measurements given in the specification sheet are not entirely accurate. They ignore the lens surround, so in fact the camera is 26.5mm thick. I have no idea why so many companies for this camera. It’s like saying that I am 5ft 2in tall, if it does not contain the head. It makes no sense at all.
