As we will all remember, in August 2005 New Orleans was devastated by hurricane Katrina. Brad Pitt was moved by the disaster to personally invest in the reconstruction of Louisiana’s most famous city. In one generous move, the actor dedicated all of his earnings from the film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” to a housing reconstruction programme. So grateful are New Orleans’ residents that they are now campaigning for Brad Pitt to become the city’s new mayor in 2010! Thomas Bayer, a professor at Tulane University is leading the initiative. He has launched a web-based promotional campaign and is selling a collection of t-shirts featuring the much-loved actor.
Thomas Bayer has listed 13 good reasons to vote for Brad Pitt, the most attractive being the chance to have the sublime Angelina Jolie as the local “First Lady”!
